Sandra is the founder of affectingchange, a boutique green building consulting practice established in 2010. She is a nationally-recognized expert and has worked on groundbreaking high-performance green building design, deep energy retrofits and community transformation projects across Canada for over 30 years. Her expertise is in diverse areas includes architectural design, building science, organizational design, and project management. Sandra and her team provide Passive House design advice, deliver sustainability strategy, do energy modelling, write grants and funding proposals, and provide project management services. Sandra is a sought-after guest speaker, facilitator and expert advisor working on projects across North America. 

Credentials include: Bachelors of Technology in Architectural Science, TMU; Masters Certificate in Organizational Development and Change Management, York U; Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, LEED-accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction, Certified Passive House Designer.

Key projects include: Boyne River Ecology Centre (Net Zero, 1992); Humber River Hospital (most energy efficient hospital in North America); Colleges Ontario’s Net Zero Plan; Ontario’s GHG Campus Retrofit Program; and TAF Towerwise Prototype Deep Retrofit Project of Seven MURBs on four sites (2021 Clean50 Top Project Award).
